There is no doubt that a damaged glucose meter is useless. What is more, if its indications are wrong, this glucose meter could be very dangerous for you. Glucose meters come with bottles of glucose solution, which is used to test the glucose meter. Generally the test is very simple – place a drop of glucose on the strip and see what the glucose meter says. Then check if its indications are in range with the composition of the glucose bottle. If they are – the glucose meter is OK; if they are not – consult the glucose meter vendor.
